This is the original full service land-based surfing resort in the Mentawai Islands. Our all inclusive price includes private air-conditioned transport to and from mainland Sumatra, guided surfing and fishing speedboat service, 3 meals a day, drinks, snacks and accommodation. With a maximum capacity of 12 surfers, at our Mentawai surf resort guests have the entire island for their exclusive use.

Located in northern Mentawai near the Playgrounds anchorage, we offer 19 different waves to choose from; rifles, ebay, bank vaults, hideaways, playgrounds, kandui, candys, corners, tikis, spankers, pit stops, beng bengs, no name, piggy banks, pistols, 3"b"s, burgerworld and crystal bowls. We are proud of our extensive knowledge of secret spots as well as Mentawai weather conditions; built up from our combined 20 years of experience hunting waves in the area. With unrivalled speed and comfort between line-ups you will get better surf, more often with less crowds.

One of the most important goals at our surf resort is to create a true Mentawai experience. We don't want visitors to feel that they are living in a hotel on the mainland. It would be better to stay home than to travel all this way and feel like a busy business traveller staying in a hotel.

We'll have a representative/guide in Padang to pick you up at the airport and transport you and your luggage to your choice of Hotel (not included), or transfer you directly to the Mentawai Air flight depending on your arrival time. You will fly 35 minutes to Rokot, Sipora and then speedboat transfer to WavePark (1.5 -2 hours). All flights Padang-Mentawai-Padang are on Saturday mornings.

All of the materials used for the house are from the islands except the screws, bolts, nails and concrete used for the foundations and joining. All labour to build the house was by local people. Keeping the expenditures local is one of the primary goals here.

Ferry, the resident chef, cooks up 3 hot meals a day. Food is a mixture of Western cuisine including pizza, pasta, fresh bread daily, sandwiches, tuna melts, sashimi when available, fries, salads, desserts and breakfast specialties with Indonesian favourites including rice-based fresh fish dishes, vegetarian curries, fried rice and noodles, etc.

Surf snacks are supplied to go with each mission to the waves including fresh fruit, crackers, cookies, biscuits and chocolate. COLD cordial juice, water, coke and sprite are all supplied and included in the price. Cold beer is available to purchase separately at 25,000 Rupiah per can (around £1.50) and their is also a full bar for mixed, blended and shaken drinks. There are always crackers, bread, jams, jellies and peanut butter, cookies and snack bars available to guests as surf fuel and in between meal munchies. Tea, coffee, cordial juices, soda and water are available at all times, all day, everyday. Fruit is as variable as it is seasonal including, mangos, bananas, papaya, watermelon, apples, oranges, limes, mangosteens, snake-fruit, passion-fruit (marquisa), and other kinds of local fruit that are rare and delicious. The fruit is always available during the day and is mainly served on pancakes during breakfast.

This resort is a surf haven - Lush green grass abounds in the coconut plantation where the house and restaurant are built. A garden of vegetables, fruits and flowers surrounds the property. We guarantee that a trip taken here we give you memories to last a lifetime.
